Live Events Lift Up

Supporting the people behind the music, lights, and stages

Charity Initiative

A charitable initiative to support workers in the live events industry who suffered from the COVID-19 pandemic. The project raised funds to provide financial assistance to technical specialists, organizers, and artists who were left without work due to the cancellation of concerts and festivals.

About the project

In 2020, the live events industry — concerts, festivals, tours, theater, corporate events — came to a complete standstill almost overnight. Millions of people: sound engineers, lighting designers, riggers, stagehands, tour managers, promoters, musicians and many others lost their income.

Live Events Lift Up (LEVL UP Fest) was created to draw attention to this crisis and to raise funds to help those most affected.

The main event was a large benefit live-stream concert from the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on December 16, 2020.

Memory & gratitude

Even though the acute phase of the crisis is behind us, we remember those difficult months and the people who lost years of their careers, savings, and sometimes even hope.

Thank you to everyone who helped, donated, shared, performed and supported the live events community in 2020–2021.
